This cajon features two ions (interchangeable heads), one on each side, allowing you to choose from any of our range (Cuban, Kenyan, Guinean, Turkish Blue, Green or Black and Peruvian Birch).

We’ve pushed the percussive capabilities of this instrument to the limit with a triple resonance chamber design, isolating the sound of each individual element.

Thanks to these independent resonance chambers, the ions produce a quick, clean response without sound interference. This design allows for more percussion surfaces, more interaction between highs and mids, and expanded possibilities.

The corners of the cajon are rounded (ergonomic edges), ensuring a secure strike and preventing injury. It also features non-slip feet for enhanced security and stability while playing.

Like all ION cajons, the bass response is deep and powerful, thanks to its larger structure compared to conventional cajons and the bass output enhancer.

Finally, the cajon comes with a manual double-string tuning system, with two strings on each side (a total of 4 strings) for precise tone control. Additionally, it includes an innovative string sensitivity technology developed by us, ensuring the strings are correctly tensioned and properly touching the plate, guaranteeing an optimal sound response and excellent sound quality.

Faceplate: Louro Preto

Louro Preto wood, also known as Black Laurel, is a species valued for its beauty, durability, versatility, and acoustic properties. It is primarily found in South America, especially in Brazil and other tropical regions. It is a premium choice for musicians seeking a deep, resonant, and balanced sound.

This wood, known for its density and strength, adds distinctive acoustic features to the cajon: strong, resonant bass tones, clear, defined highs, full sound with prolonged sustain, high sensitivity to the touch, and excellent sound projection.

The One Louro has a dark brown color with veins that give it an exotic and elegant look. The pattern extends not only to the front plate but also to the seat of the cajon. Visually, it exudes presence and stands out as an exclusive handcrafted piece that makes a bold statement on stage.

• 100% Birch plywood body, 6.5 to 12 mm thick.
  • We chose this material for its exceptional acoustic transmission properties and high durability.
  • It is sustainably harvested. It has been used in manufacturing for thousands of years and comes from large forests that filter more carbon dioxide than is released during production.
  • It’s particularly hard due to its manufacturing process (intercalating wood layers with alternating grain directions), which makes it excellent at withstanding high pressures and producing sound.
  • 3 mm front plate, composed of six layers (Birch and Chen Chen woods).

We purposely designed this to be larger than standard because a bigger sound box equates to a greater movement of air inside it. In other words, the greater the volume, the longer the soundwave, and this produces a stronger, more intense and more driving sound.
