Just like the Dixon Artisan series drum sets, the Artisan snares are using many selected woods to perform the best sound choices. In addition to woods, our passionate drum designers also experiment hundreds of metals and different combinations of metals and configurations to build a wide range of sounds that drummers are looking after.Dixon test snares and record their sounds daily to find preferred tones. The dedicated studio staff are working hard to analyze the snare sounds. Each Artisan snare needs to be played by a number of drummers and modified by their feedbacks before official introduction.

Dixon also include world-renowned drummer Chris Brady's long-term drumming experience as well as his insistence on quality and sound.
