Adams MCPV43, 4 1/3 Octave Marimba
The Adams MCPV43 is a great instrument for the price. The cost savings of padouk over rosewood makes this instrument extremely attractive to schools and individuals looking to purchase a marimba. This instrument features the exact same frame and bar width as the rosewood model does. Padouk offers very similar characteristics to Rosewood, the main difference is padouk has a slightly less resonant tone. When comparing the Concert Series to the Soloist Series, the wide bars are better for developing your technique and makes transitioning to professional scale instruments smoother. -Adam
The Adams Concert Series Wide-Bar Padouk Marimba provides an alternative for the performer who wants the feel of a full bar width instrument with cost-effective padouk bars.
Each bar is painstakingly tuned using our specially developed computer system , assisted method by the hands of the highly skilled Adams craftsman. This precise tuning and voicing process ensures the instrument's sound is balanced perfectly throughout the entire range and provides Adams complete control over all aspects of the marimba sound. As with all Adams marimbas the resonators are welded to eliminate the possibility of mechanical noise or vibration, and are finished with a durable powder-coated finish. Each tube is carefully designed to amplify the fundamental note while providing maximum volume, sustain and clarity. In order to play under all temperature and moisture conditions, the resonators can be set in two positions due to the rubber mounting blocks mounted on the side panel.
